An Edinburgh Council Ukrainian information page gives you advice on arriving and staying in Edinburgh, financial support and grants available. Advice on schools and nurseries is also available.

DEPARTMENT OF WORK AND PENSIONS REGISTRATION AND CLAIMING UNIVERSAL CREDIT

It's important to register with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) who will ensure that you receive the financial support you are entitled to. They can also help support you with moving into a job.

Registering gives you your National Insurance (NI) number which you will need to give to an employer to be in long-term work.

To register for Universal Credit:

  • or attend your nearest local Job Centre to speak with an Advisor.
