Capital City Partnership’s Vocational Training Framework have partnered with Creative Edinburgh to deliver a Creative Industries Skills Academy.
This FREE skills development programme that focuses on helping Edinburgh-based individuals who wish to work in creative industries develop the necessary skills and confidence to secure employment or project work in the future.
The course will be delivered by Creative Edinburgh and encourage participants to talk to others about their career aims and will provide them with the space, confidence and skills required to work toward the next stage of their creative career with a clear mission in mind.
The sessions will be delivered by seven experienced experts and supported by a programme coordinator.

Costs: Free
Prerequisites: This course is available for Edinburgh residents, aged 16 or over, who are either unemployed or facing in-work poverty and have barriers to employment and are not in full time education.

Over five weeks, participants will have access to curated resources and practical working tools, including drop-in sessions with Macmillan Skills Hub dedicated to developing CVs or preparing for job interviews. Participants will gain access to Creative Edinburgh events to support them through each chapter of development in real-time.
The first and final session will be delivered in person to share and reflect on development experiences and celebrate successes.
There will be an opportunity to meet potential employers including local festivals and creative agencies, learn about upcoming job openings, and project work and meet colleagues from key industry organisations.
